Professor Esther Oduolowu
Esther Oduolowu is a Professor of Early Childhood Education, Department of Early Childhood and Educational Foundations, University of Ibadan. Esther had a Second Class Upper Division honours in 1986 at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in Early Childhood Education/History. She obtained Master Degree in 1994 in Educational History and Policy, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Early Childhood Education in 1998 from the same University, a Postgraduate Diploma in ECD from the University of Victoria, Canada in 2011and a DiploFoundation Certificate in Education Diplomacy (February-April, 2016) from Center for Education Diplomacy. Her teaching experience in the University of Ibadan started in 1994 when she was employed as Assistant Lecturer and was promoted to full Professorial cadre in 2011. She was an Assistant Professor at the Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw Georgia, USA between August 2008 and December, 2008 on Exchange Programme between Kennesaw State University and the University of Ibadan. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Victoria, Canada from 2011-2016.
She spearheaded the establishment of the Postgraduate Early Childhood Development (Campus and Web-based) programs in the University of Ibadan for the Capacity building of ECD professionals in Nigeria in particular and Africa region in general. She played a leadership role in the development of the Indigenous Early Childhood Care and Development Curriculum for the disadvantaged and hard to reach children in Africa. She is one of the Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI) Country Liaisons and also former Ambassador for Childhood Programme in Nigeria advocating the Ten Pillars of a good childhood education. Esther is the current National President of Early Childhood Association of Nigeria (2020-2022).
Esther undoubtedly has a passion for Early Childhood research, early learning, caregivers/teachers/parents capacity development, child rights advocacy and scholarship. This is evident from several studies she has conducted over the years. She is an advocate of Child’s rights and has a great number of completed and on-going researches in her area of specialisation. She has more than 65 publications to her credit in learned journals and other outlets nationally and internationally. She is a member of notable early childhood organisations nationally and internationally. She is the immediate past President of Early Childhood Association of Nigeria (ECAN), active member of National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), Country Lead for Childhood Education International (CEI) and Foundation for the Promotion of Childhood Education (FPCD) in Nigeria. Esther is a consultant, researcher and facilitator to notable Development Partners such as: World Bank Group, UNICEF/Federal Ministry of Education. Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) and the State Universal Basic Education Boards.

Dr. Oluyemisi Idowu Majebi is an Early Childhood Education specialist and lecturer in the Department of Early Childhood and Educational Foundations at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. A Ph.D. holder and alumna of the Queen Elizabeth Scholars Program at Carleton University, Canada, she brings over two decades of experience spanning classroom practice, teacher education, and research. Her work focuses on child rights, inclusive education, early childhood pedagogy, indigenous knowledge systems, and teacher capacity development. Through publications, training, and community engagement, Dr. Majebi champions culturally responsive, quality early learning for children in their most formative years.
Dr. Funmilayo A. Olowu is a Quality Assurance Assessor (QAA) and Internal Quality Assurance Manager (IQAM). She possesses a strong academic background in Educational Administration, Finance and Marketing support in developing and implementing quality Assurance policies and procedures in institutions. She monitors and evaluate internal audits and assessment. In addition to being a qualified internal quality assurance manger, she hold a Masters’ degree in Business Administration (MBA) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Banking and Finance among others. Dr. Olowu is a passionate teacher, instructor, administrator and evaluator. She is warm friendly and hardworking.
Mrs Oladunni A. Awolude is Education Instructor at Early Childhood Development Initiative (ECDI), and International Non-Governmental Organisation based in Abeokuta , Ogun State. Mrs Awolude is a sound academic personality who wears many caps. In addition to her qualification as Quality Assurance Assessor (QAA), she is also a qualified Internal Quality Assurance Manager. She is a seasoned teacher, instructor, marketing manager among others. Mrs. Awolude is skilled in Microsoft Word and Desktop Publishing. She is very hardworking, diligent, compassionate and friendly
I am Taiwo Afolasade AyanfeOluwa, an Early Childhood Education specialist, educator, researcher, and teacher trainer with a strong commitment to advancing the development and well-being of young children. I currently serve as a Part-Time Lecturer in the Department of Early Childhood Education, Faculty of Education, University of Ibadan, where I contribute to the preparation and development of future educators through teaching, supervision, and mentorship.
I guide undergraduate students in the development and execution of research projects in Early Childhood Education. I am dedicated to advocating for quality early childhood care and education. I believe that every child deserves access to developmentally appropriate learning experiences that lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning, creativity, character development, and success.
Manages ELESL's ICT infrastructure and provides technical support for instructors and trainees. Ensures technology is used safely and efficiently across all learning processes.
